So this is hard. Really hard. My town that I've had for a year and a half, that I absolutely loved is gone forever.
It was my own fault. I decided to try hacking and well... to put a long story short I forgot that I had a digital copy of the game on my SD card that I hadn't played on for about 2 years. I accidentally ripped the data off of that and pasted it over my current town. So I had two of the same town. It was really stupid of me and I urge anyone who is considering it to get back a dreamie who left suddenly (as I was) it's not worth it. Just cycle the 16.
Anyway. It's gone now, and I have to deal with the fact that it's never coming back and no amount of resetting will get me that exact map back with the cute layout and the perfect little spots I loved.
So I might quit the game. I'll think about it more in the morning but I don't know if I can face it. But if I do start again, I'm going to do it away from this forum. It's nothing against you guys, I promise, but I've noticed that being on here has made me greedy in the game. TTing to get my dreamies, duping items, buying things for ridiculous amounts of bells instead of waiting for the right time of year and earning them properly. Buying and selling villagers, getting so obsessed with having a perfect town that in the end I paid the ultimate price.
I'm just posting this as a warning, I don't want anyone else to see their game load up and a completely alien town appear in front of them, knowing it was their own stupid fault.
I'm also not posting this to get freebies. I don't want anything from anyone, it's really kind when people offer but I'm not here for that.
