A couple nights ago I was exhausted after a long day of exams and after I finished playing acnl, I accidentally powered off my ds while it was saving. It?s happened to me before, and I quickly turned it back on to heck if my town was still there. Due to my amazing luck, it wasn?t. I?m so devastated, and I had my town for almost 5 months without it corrupting .
Now I need help choosing a town name. Can anyone help me? Also, has this happened to anybody else?
well, they tell you not to turn off the power while saving for a reason...though i've done this by accident a few times too and didn't corrupt. thankfully.
oh my that's awful. i never hack my ds anymore and don't use acnl hacks, but i do have a save manager that i use occasionally, usually after i've done something major in my town. every once in a while i'll take that save off my sd card and put it on my computer just in case my file is corrupted. (not too sure if that comment is allowed, but i didn't provide sources to hack or information so i think i'm all good. someone let me know haha) anyway, sucks that you got your town deleted!

If that happened to me, I don't know if I'd even want to start it back up again...I've poured a year and a half's worth of work into Clover. I'd likely take a long hiatus.

Oh gosh I'm really so sorry this happened to you. I can't even imagine! Sometimes I accidentally press the off button rather than start too, but I always fear of pressing the off button while saving. Tbh it's nintendo's fault for having it so close. Told myself, if this ever happened to me I'd feel entitled to time travel lol, but then I'll probably feel undetermined to play We're here to help, flowers or items, items for catalog etc, if you need anything!
