Cooking and New Buildings?

Has anyone else noticed their villagers talking about new buildings on the island and cooking meals? I thought this was pretty strange because I am at a point in the game where no more new shops or other buildings are available anymore. I also gave one of my villagers a fish and they talked about wanting to eat it. As an experiment I gave almost every single one of my villagers a fish and out of the 6 that where given a fish 3 talked about wanting to eat it. Idk if anyone has done a data mine on this but I think some of the stuff I’ve mentioned are coming to new horizons. (If you’ve made it this far in my huge paragraph talking about food lol then thank you)

i think something about cooking was datamined a few weeks ago but i’m not exactly sure what it was lol - vegetables were also datamined by the same person who datamined leif selling bushes and redd pulling up to the secret beach to sell art (2 datamines that turned out to be correct), so maybe cooking and vegetables will be a thing at some point and alongside diy recipes, we’ll also get food recipes?

I’d honestly love it if cooking was introduced to New Horizons, hope it does!!

What role do you think this would have in the game? The same effect as eating fruit, I'd guess, but it seems like a lot of work when you can shake some fruit off a tree.
Maybe villagers will have food preferences? How much work would you put in to deliver a favorite dish on a dreamie's birthday?
Or maybe they'll make specific requests for dishes? (P.S., I really wish they'd ask for more stuff!)

I'd like a restaurant you can sell food to meet daily menu requirements. Also you can work as a cook like you did the coffee shop.

Hold on, are you saying you've been getting dialogue from your villagers about new buildings on the island? Do you have any screenshots? I haven't noticed any of that, or anything about cooking meals either.
