Alright, so:

*Katrina is not involved with building/running the hotel in any way

*The villagers actually miss the mayor, so their "shady deal" is likely involuntary

*The killer does not work on main street

*All parties involved do NOT work in the same section of town (so the helper probably works on main street)

So, can i take a guess as to how the murder went down?

Cyrus from retail did it with the help of tom nook. thats why he is seen sleeping a lot. anyways, cyrus did it to get back at the mayor, whom he thought was flirting with reese. Tom nook had the cash to cover it up, so the whole thing went off without a hitch

I'm calling Isabelle+Digby right now. Don't know why or how (well, maybe Isabelle was in line for the mayor's job) I don't know how, so if anybody has ideas they can try and answer/post ideas here.

Yeah, only one person. You can go for the word as many times as you want. (This is to increase competition.)

Also, next week's word will be different. There will be one word. Two winners. They will be allowed to choose between:

A) 4 yes/no questions.
B) 2 yes/no questions and a town visit.

Ooooooh~! Everything is starting to make some sense now! I guess our list of possible murders is down to the following;

-Kapp'n
-Copper
-Brewster
-Reese
-Cryus
-Maybe Isabelle.

It seems unlikely Brewster has anything to do with the murders, while Isabelle may not technically be counted as I remember awhile back that Mystery said the murder was a store keeper and I'm not totally sure Isabelle counts as one. Copper is interesting as no one has seemed to talk about him too much here. Also the fact that the axes were in the police station and the police clothes beside where you wake up make him seem rather fishy.
