Giveaway [Contest]: The Mystery Contest

Maybe the mayor had them kill off the other 4 starters... but then Diana found out? Maybe your "pulled-out eye" would be symbolism for revenge, "an eye for an eye". Also, I didn't know there was a buried gyroid! I had assumed they were all pitfalls after I fell into the sixth one... but do you remember what type of gyroid was buried? (croakoid, mini sproid, etc.)

hmm..their bloody shirts are weird. like, wouldnt the mayor kill the starter villagers themselves? why bring the rest of the town into it? you wouldn't want to ruin your "dreamies" by tainting them with murder. im not sure if it was an eye but i assumed it was but the molecule mightve just been for design..but there is a darker red on the pillow so that might mean that something bloody is on there. i cant tell by shape but if we were talking by scale it might be too big for an eye but idk what an eye looks like pulled out. i kinda had an idea that the mayor couldn't get the vision they wanted of the town so they ripped their eye out. they ripped their eye out so they wouldn't have to look at the failure of their town. and then left the town to take care of themselves, so maybe the villagers couldnt keep payment up for the town? because you know its the mayor who pays for stuff most of the time..so when the mayor stops caring the villagers will be needing some type of income

i think the gyroid was a puffloid. cant remember though. but its basically in the back of the trees in the 2nd column i think if anyone wants to check again

I don't want to interfere this but the gyroid was not meant to be in the forest. I can't exactly go cleaning the forest checking for gyroids all the time.

I'm not sure if this has been said before here, but I noticed an ivy-drop in the back room of the hotel right next to the left bed. I can't make much of it though. Any ideas?

to me it seems like they drugged their victims to keep them knocked out or something. or maybe they keep them alive for some reason?

Dang it, as my game's language is German for some reason it wouldn't show me the villager's actual catchphrases, just the usual ones?
I'll have to go back and check it again later. [I'll have to check the town tree aswell, completly forgot about that.]

What's really confusing me is the book. I tried to think of what I might've to do with the story but I really can't figure anything out.

I was just thinking that the IV shows how the people died in the hotel: from sickness. That's why I was thinking about poison as the murder tool. I don't think it would just be to knock people out, as there are also screens around the bed that aren't present near the other bed. (If somebody here doesn't know, screens are usually used in hospitals for the privacy of very sick patients)

Also @Mystery2013: Is the town meant to be updated? I only ask because I saw that other thread where you were placing a design-sign that isn't in the dream town.

I'm currently planning a dream town update for sometime this weekend. I'll post here once it's updated.

Is that a "bump" "good luck..." or a "the town is updated" "good luck..."?

The dream town of Moonlite is officially up to date. The dream address did not change.

Btw, not much changed in the update. Expect a ton of new stuff in the next update though. :D

hmm so like youre saying its supposed to represent them falling to poison? i guess that kinda makes sense

maybe the update will clear things up
if people miss the first version of the town will they miss out on anything significant? or does it stay the same? like for the new major update im wondering if people miss out on the other 2 will they still be able to see everything we saw or will you get rid of it?

Updates only add to the town, never take away. That's why it'll get easier as time goes by.

I submitted an answer, but in case it's wrong I'll post it here. In the update, there are 10 golden axes in the police station. So, I thought the animals all killed the mayor, Julius Caesar-style. They worked together to cook up a ruse, saying they all grieve for the mayor, and having any investigators stay in the murder hotel. A veritable "tourist trap".

Also, MYSTERY YOU LEFT A THING BURIED IN THE FOREST AGAIN. ;)

But it's an easter egg this time. :)

I'm starting to feel kinda bad now so I'll give up a bit of a freebie.

Look in my siggy. There's clues everywhere!
The town's theory is not too deep as you guys may think...
