I'll admit, I've been neglecting my villagers a bit while I'm working on terraforming and "improving the scenery" of my island. And now my dear cherry-smoothie drinking, club sandwich eating villagers have become obsessed with soda, donuts, and pink lollypops! How do I get them off all that sugar??? /s

I haven't played AC since Wild World / City Folk and I hardly remember those games, so to all the people who played NL: were there any other food items in the game? Both in terms of furniture you can place on tables and food that villagers walk around with. Because all we have right now is mugs, cakes, and a few food stalls, and at this rate all my villagers are going to have heart problems before they see 2021.

In NL villagers never walked around with food or drinks, but the game probably has more food items than NH has furniture combined lol. NL had a LOT of food furniture. You could have take out coffee and ice cream from StreetPass as well (yourself).

I honestly can't remember New Leaf as I stopped playing it probably in 2015 but my hope is that the rumored cooking/vegetable growing expansion with New Horizons proves to be true and we could give things we cook/bake/whatever to our villagers. I feel bad that they are gobsmacked every single day when I give them the same gift wrapped peach because nobody can survive on fruit and fruit alone. I'm contributing to their sugary diets.

that sounds amazing! both the actual food furniture and the interacting with vending machines. Not gonna lie, the limitations on the furniture we can interact with is a little disappointing

hoo boy there was a bunch of food items in new leaf - sweets set, dessert case, marshmallow chair, pretty much all of the foreign event items, etc. i miss all the food items bro ;u;

Oh, you didn't interact with vending machines. Take-out coffee was something you could get at Brewster's cafe, and the ice creams were given to you by interacting with StreetPass characters.

The sweets series was adorable and I miss it dearly.
