Concerning the campsite

do villagers only show up in the campsite when there's an empty lot? and how frequent does it happen? ive had like no one in my campsite after i beat the story mode and was just wondering about it

Campsite villagers are pretty rare in this game, and no you don't have to have an open plot for them

Unfortunately yes its random, it seems campsite villagers are a lot less common than in NL

yeah they're super uncommon unfortunately i had the first one, then another popped up a few days after, and i haven't gotten any since!

Seems like the campsite is only good for inviting amiibo villagers this time around, more so than NL before the welcome amiibo update.

It's super rare if you don't have an open slot. This is from personal experience. Otherwise, it will show up every 4 to 9 days if you have 9 or less villagers.

I feel, I've been playing since day one and the only camper I've had is the forced one

I have 9 villagers currently, and haven't plotted the last one. It's quite rare that one shows up, but they do appear.
