Greetings folks,
I have been playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf for a long time, but I used to get furniture through trading. As we can no longer visit each other via the Nintendo servers, I'm having trouble furnishing my house. I also feel that the T&T shops' inventories don't really change from one day to the next — the furniture is often the same for a long time, so I can't complete any series properly.
I'm not able to hack my DS, so I'm looking for a "vanilla" solution. I read that villagers can trade items for new ones, such as furniture of the same size as the item you want. So, for example, if a villager has a house full of Blue furniture, can I send them lots of letters offering cheap benches (to replace 2x1 items) and chairs (for 1x1 items) in exchange for their Blue furniture? How does it work?
I know that AC:NL might be considered a 'dead' game by now, but I'm still hoping that someone can answer my question. Thank you in advance for your time and patience.
