If the cake is the ordinary one, in other words not the chocolate, why would anyone want to pay 150 BTB when they can buy it from the shop for 29 BTB?

He's got a point,same with yellow candy, people can find people selling those for only 50 tbt! The green candy has a good price, it's a little cheaper than average. Maybe this can help you out.

It's not a minimum price guide. The feathers are not able to be purchased in the store all the time. The cake has an unlimited supply so anyone can purchase it so you are unable to sell it at a higher price.

just trying to help..you can sell at whatever prices you want though. people just reference the guide. no one can force you to sell lower/higher just because the guide says so

Cake can run out of stock - I bought it out before and it got restocked at the next direct
