Club Nintendo Code question

I have one Animal Crossing 3DS XL and one regular 3DS XL.
I am currently selling my AC 3DSXL, but I forgot if I have redeemed my club Nintendo code or not?
I am sure I have not used the code on my regular 3DS XL.

My question is: if I sell my AC 3DS XL with the code from my regular 3DS XL, will the buyer be able to use it? Since the buyer asked me about this. Thanks a lot.

An AC 3DS XL has a different Club Nintendo code to a regular 3DS XL Club Nintendo code.
So assuming you haven't used the regular 3DS XL Club Nintendo code, the new buyer of the AC 3DS XL will be able to use the code, but will in fact register the regular 3DS XL code on their account.

So basically, anyone can register a code unless someone has already registered it.
All 3DS consoles (and bundles) have unique sets of codes, meaning different bundles can be registered to one account, but not two of "one type" of code, can be registered. ie. they'll be able to register the regular 3DS XL code if they haven't already registered one.

It's not Nintendo "treating buyers" differently. Each code is pre-assigned to a specific type of console bundle or game.
So if you include the regular 3DS XL code in the package, when the buyer registers the code, they will earn the stars/vip points for a regular 3DS XL console, not an AC 3DS XL console bundle...

As far as I know, there is no way to check other than actually registering it.
But when you enter the code, it's not redeemed until a questionnaire has been filled in, so it may be that you can try it and just not fill in the questionnaire... It notifies you straight away if the code has already been redeemed or not...

Can you not log into your Club Nintendo account and see?
It records all the redeemed codes and stars you've collected in the account section.... Good luck.
