I'm not trying to create drama, or accusing this person, since they seem legitimate/kind.
But I'm afraid it will take so much time :( (because they have pinged before, but Stitches didn't, and I had to get rid of him first)

I traded away Stitches, and it' been around a week I have been waiting for their Beau to ping.

How long have you guys waited for a double villager trade? :) I'm new kind of new to ACNL and Bell tree forums, so maybe it's a common thing that one shouldn't worry about xD !!

Just be patient, send them a message and consider their side of the story. =)
have you checked their wi-fi rating?

yes their wi-fi is perfect :)

i don't think she is a scammer, but i tried moving away Chadder once, and it took me a month to get him to ping me :(
Since Beau has already pinged before (but she cancelled it) I'm afraid it will take so much time!

They have also lost one of their permanent villagers because of TTing. :( -feels bad-

But honestly I don't want to wait a month... and yes I have mailed her :) but I don't want to be too pushy

Waiting for a specific villager to ping can honestly take a long time, even with TTing.
If the person has a good wifi rating and seems all around fine, I would just be patient. You'll get your Beau eventually!

Edit: sorry just saw you are more worried about waiting than the other person being dishonest. But you might have to wait a while. Maybe try to get other dreamies while waiting for Beau to ping?

Trades normally take a day or two for me, but that is with hours of time traveling on both halfs.

I'm glad to know that it is not an uncommon thing to wait then :)
But I think next time, I would rather trade for bells in order to get a villager! Might be a faster method.

I still have other dreamies, but I am trying to keep space for Beau -such a cutie- but this shouldn't stop me from earning some bells for future auctions! - I regret I voided Jay on Cotton T--T he is my favorite bird-

Reading everyone's comment re-assured me :) Thank you !!

Auctioning a villager or buying one yourself is one thing. But trading a villager for another villager? That takes patience. My advice is don't treat it like one single transaction like with an auction. Get the one villager to move, then continue with things as normal. Move villagers in, move them out. When you finally get the message that 'whoever' is ready to go, a make some room. If you're trading with someone from here and they have a good wifi rating, relax. Even if they TT, it might be a while.

Having traded my Olivia for someone's Whitney, let me tell you to please be patient c: patience makes all the difference.
It took me a week to get Olivia out and the girls patience made me feel not as rushed, terrible etc because cycling can be hard to someone just getting one specific villager out. Just drop her a message, ask her how it's going. I know you want your beau but cycling can be stressful.

I will :)

also this is my first time exchanging villagers, so I guess I didn't expect it to take some time (I had trouble moving away Stitches)
but I guess I was a little worried T^T

I'm closing this thread! Thank you for answering everyone!

I think if I have enough to buy Beau, I'll just give Stitches to her :) I know she likes Beau too ---
