Okay so there's conflicting information that I've read on the Internet about this so I'm coming to you guys.
supposedly someone logged into their alternate character that was not the mayor and they were pinged by someone that was going to move. they told the person no and then they logged into their mayor and continued on with their time traveling, but by about a week later, they moved anyways!
Tangy had just pinged my fianc? that she wanted to move. he told her no and then saved, logged into my mayor and she did ping me but she only pinged me to go to her house...does that mean she's going to stay or will she move too?

That is really odd.... I've talked to villagers who've pinged me about moving on alternate characters many times, and each time I told them to stay on said alternate character, they did indeed stay.

This is very odd. I've never heard of this before. I mean, villagers can decide to stay if you want them to go, but I've never heard/experienced in my own game villagers wanting to move out after you telling them no. o-o'

That wouldn't be the first time.

When a villager says they want to move, saying no is not a 100% guarantee that they will stay. Each character has a different relationship with villagers so it's quite possible that one character can make someone move without the other 3 characters knowing about it. I only play with my Mayor so I haven't experienced something like that though.

I've never personally experienced that and I have told people to stay on my second character's file.
Sounds like maybe that villager decided to try to move twice in a row (has happened to me before) and that person just missed the second time they pinged.
