CJ and Flick on friend's islands

I'm just curious as to whether you can sell fish/bugs to CJ and Flick when visiting other friend's islands.

I always presumed that you could do this, but I went to my friend's island yesterday and talked to Flick and he just kept talking at me so unable to sell him anything. I have never tried doing it for CJ (and I know when CJ is on your own island you need to do his competition first).

No, we can only sell to them on our own islands. It's a shame. If we could it would be excellent motivation to use the multiplayer more - good for Nintendo, good for us

Yes, it would definitely give me incentive to visit friend's islands. I only go to see my friends' islands to either bother them (ie hitting them with a net and being generally annoying), or to get ideas from them to improve my own island (inc shopping). Such a shame!

You can participate in the Fishing Tourney on other people's islands, and therefore the Bug-Off as well, I assume. I don't know if you can sell to CJ/Flick after competing in the Tourney though.

Sadly you can't... It would be nice if we could sell to them on other Islands but you can only do so on your own..
