Chrissy my original is leaving!!!

Sorry guys, just wanted to celebrate a little (sad right) as I was only complaining yesterday about none of my originals wanting to move. Chrissy unexpectedly tells me this morning she is leaving in 5 days!
It's a shame it's her and not Gigi or Yuka as I have too many snooties, but at least I'm not worried they will never leave now! Yay!

Five days is normal. If you want to be sure she doesn't change her mind, don't talk to her. Ignore her if she pings you. You can say goodbye when she's in boxes, though.

Definitely don't want her to change her mind! I might actually tt to get her out to make sure that doesn't happen if I forget. I won't get a random move in with only 9 villagers will I?

I was honestly so happy this morning, she's not exactly who I wanted to go but really doesn't matter to me - frees up a space for (hopefully) Zucker or another dream villager

I might even turn off street pass....I had it a couple of times yesterday. But she is still there so that doesn't affect anything does it?

Not until she leaves. Once you have 9 villagers in town, that leaves an open space for someone to slip into if you're not careful.

Thank you for that, I wasn't sure how it works. Was just reading that the game won't give you a random but you can get one from somebody else. Thank you for the warning!
I'm going to try and get a replacement straight away if possible anyway, if not I'll just watch what I'm doing until I find who I want to take her place

Trouble is there aren't many peppy villagers I really like the look of.
But I have now finally decided on Flora as one of the other posters suggested. She looks very very sweet
