So this morning I logged on to our SH island and only found out the beautiful cherry blossom trees turned back to normal green hardwood trees! I guess it means cherry blossom is over? I think it only lasted just about a week. And I only got ONE cherry blossom recipe from a balloon! It is so unfair for SH islands because the cherry blossom season coincides with Halloween time, which takes priority. Guess I have buy or wait for next April ...

Cherry blossom season really is too short. And don't worry, south hemisphere wasn't the only one to struggle with overlapping events - in the Northern hemisphere Cherry blossom season overlapped with bunny day stuff so half the balloons would have eggs in them 
. It made it really frustrating to try and get all the DIYs. I really wish they could just delay or lengthen Cherry blossom season or something so that it has some time on its own.

Yeah I really hated how Bunny Day seemed to take priority over the cherry blossom stuff. I really wish they would just take the cherry blossom dates as well, and make it earlier in March. That way it doesn't get interrupted with Bunny Day all that often. >.<

I still have PTSD from the Bunny Day / Cherry Blossom season. Similarly in NH islands right now, I'm struggling to get the autumn recipes. Even though I've obtained all the Halloween DIYs that are available before Halloween, I'm still getting dupes of those from balloons instead of the autumn recipes. Really frustrating

I hated bunny day events with a passion since that early in the game all materials were useful, so getting eggs instead wasn't fun. And the fact that it took over Cherry blossom season too didn't help.I still have PTSD from the Bunny Day / Cherry Blossom season. Trust me, cherry blossom season was MILES worse in April because of Bunny day. I still shudder at the barrage of irrelevant diys.
Both NH’s and SH’s cherry blossom seasons last the same duration (about ten days). You have to work double time to get all the related diys (I waited until the last 3 days of cherry blossom season in April to actually go after diys and only got 3-5 out of the set).

yeah, I was surprised to find the cherry blossom season end so suddenly this weekend too! but I TTed back to saturday and did like a gruelling 5 hour balloon farming slog and managed to shoot down all but 2 of the cherry blossom DIYs...all but the two I wanted the most!! might TT back to saturday again after work today and try one more time...
Yep. Cherry blossom season is brief, but beautiful. I honestly think that Halloween season is easier to deal with during it than Bunny Day was. I don't have all of the DIYs from it either. But, it will give me something to collect next year!
I might try to buy the cherry blossom lamp off of somebody though. I love it and I would love to decorate my town with them during the season.

, but they sucked so bad and took away from getting the Cherry Blossom DIYs (which ARE actually good.) But, yeah—I’d like to have Cherry Blossom season longer. Apparently it only lasts 2 weeks in Japan. If that’s the case, then Nintendo should be placing Bunny Day either before or after the Cherry Blossom season.

I've had such a stressful time just focusing on balloons to get all these diys, to only get a few. I really wish the drop rate would be better or the length of the event would be longer, at least 2 weeks / half of the month? Alot of people may not have the time to play to get them all in such a short time, only once a year so lengthening would be great. Is alot of pressure PLUS the pink trees do NOT last long enough for my liking

(SH player) I ended up buying most of the cherry blossom diys from users on here because I hate farming balloons. I think I shot down maybe two cherry blossom diys (both were ones I was missing at least). But yeah. It should go for a whole month imo.
I spent a shameful amount of hours just checking every five mins for balloons on the shore with cherry blossom recipes. I have all the DIYs now but it was tedious and NOT FUN at all and I’m extremely glad it’s over with. There should be a better way to distribute these recipes.

Bunny Day is based on real-life easter. Just like Toy Day is based on Christmas Eve.
So Nintendo doesn't place Bunny day.
