Hello everyone! I made this small yet detailed guide on how to change a villager?s clothes! I haven't seen this method being explained properly in English anywhere before, so I decided to make a thread for it =)
This method involves time traveling - only a few hours though, so it changes nothing in your town: weeds don?t grow, flowers don?t wilt, etc (❁?ω`❁) So if you're against time traveling this method isn't for you.
To change a villager's clothes, follow these steps:

From my experiences (i used this method 4 times so far) there?s a 50% chance your villager will change their clothes each time you send them the letter, so it doesn?t take long at all =) it works way better than sending them multiple letters with multiple pieces of clothing (that's what I used to do).
Villagers wearing undesired clothes is really annoying. You can also change all able sister designs for umbrellas, dresses or hats so they don?t wear those designs either. Dont forget they still can exchange shirts in conversations, so make sure to always check their chit-chats! =)

- Buy the outfit you want your villager to wear.
- Buy stationery and write a letter to this same villager; attach the shirt to it!
- Time travel to 4:58 pm (or any time before 5pm but not past 5pm. i picked 4:58pm so you dont have to wait much)
- Go to the post office and send the letter. Wait for it to be 5pm around your main street (don?t go to your town, it may stop the villager from changing shirts!)
- At 5pm go to your town and search for your villager! If they changed their shirt to the one you sent them, you?re done! Save the game =)
- If they didnt change their shirt, quit without saving, and repeat from the third step! (if you have reset surveillance center: don?t forget that saving without quitting will cause resetti to appear, so you may want to time travel to 4:57pm or something, bc he talks a lot if you click on the ?I wanted to reset? option)
