Celeste is over, no stars

Umm, so I thought when Celeste was over that meant you're gonna get a meteor shower or at least a lot of stars to wish on. Tonight she was finally here, I got my recipe and started staring at the sky. I've been watching the sky for over 20 minutes while I'm watching a tv show in the background, thats how I know it literally has been 25 minutes and not one star. I have my sound all up so I'll hear them, but no there is not one. Does her being in the town not guarantee stars?? I'm really confused..

I believe she just comes whenever and not only when there are shooting stars. Although shooting stars might have a higher chance of her being there

Her being on your island does not guarantee stars, sadly.

With enough people reporting having both, it may be possible that her presence increases the chances of having a meteor shower.

She's usually around when there's shooting stars (at least, in my case), but I've heard that some people have had her over without shooting stars happening at all. I believe that was the case for me as well the last time she decided to drop by.

Then again, there are some nights where there are barely any shooting stars at all and they happen to fly across the sky after many hours apart (instead of the usual minutes). Meteor showers are often the best time to find her, imo.

Celeste doesn’t not guarantee stars as mention before. Also keep in mind it has to been a clear night no clouds in sight for there to be shooting stars.

Its a clear sky. Still haven't seen one, I don't think there will be any then. Thats really annoying tho, this is the second time I've had her and I've played every day since launch.. that sucks. oh well i at least got a diy recipe

I’ve only had meteor showers when my villagers talk about how “clear of a night it’s going to be”. I’ve only had it happen twice!

Sometimes you have to stay up really late in order to see any shooting stars. They don't show up for me until 11:30 PM or maybe even as late as 1:30 AM. They don't appear very frequently unless it's a full blown meteor shower.

Also the stars in the sky are flickering slightly if that helps.

Isabelle announces shooting stars and Celeste is guaranteed to be there during that, but she can also appear randomly

The people who have been saying Celeste guarantees a meteor shower are spreading false information. Celeste will appear in your town at completely random intervals. If a meteor shower happens to coincide with her visit, then that's just some good luck. And considering that is has happened, that proves it's possible that she can appearing during a meteor shower but, by no means, does it mean both happening at the same time is a guarantee.
