cedar sapling curse

Cedar saplings won't grow anywhere in my town no matter how many times I try they all just die.... Does anyone else have this problem?

They only grow in the north of your town! And half way down but you'll have to plant a few to find out where abouts half way is in your town

Oddly enough, I never even tried to plant a cedar in the south of my town.

I had the same problem so I'm glad someone asked about it! I kept trying to plant a cedar sapling and it wouldn't grow anywhere I tried (so I knew the issue wasn't just dead spots or being close to rocks and houses)... now I know why! Are there any trees that you can only plant on the south side of your town?

I have the same problem! I started surrounding my campsite with cedar saplings and some grew and others didn't. Then I realized I had put the campsite RIGHT on the halfway mark, so it's surrounded by half cedar and half fruit trees now, which doesn't look as bad as I thought it would~

Sadly cedar saplings can only take root in the northern half of your town. There is no restriction on other types of saplings.

Thank you so much for this! I was so unbelievably confused as to why they wouldn't grow and I have wasted sooooooooooooo many cedar sapings because of it!!!

This was the same way in WW. So when I was deciding where to put my campsite, I made sure it was in the northern half of town because, I too, wanted my campsite surrounded by ceadar trees.
