Recently I changed Marshal's catchphrase to "peasant". Resulting in him saying "this catchphrase is going to be the talk of the town, peasant. I love it, peasant!" with the emotion that causes sparkles and flowers to float around you. I personally find this hilarious and enjoy engaging in conversation with him for this reason. I also have Lucky saying "Spoopy" because ya know...he's a mummy dog soooo yeah haha.

What catchphrases have you given your villagers??

I gave Punchy "ka-paw" because he's a cat and his name is PUNCHy.
I gave Marshal "nutterbutt" for some reason
I gave Drift "frawg" because he's a jock frog
I gave Clay "I say" because he came up with the nickname "chap" for me while snacking on fish and chips.
I gave Ava "McNuggetz" because she's a chicken
I gave Bunnie "la-dee-da" because she seems like someone who would say that.
I gave Charlise "bearwithme" because she's a bear
I gave Cesar "GRAAAAAAAH"

I love Scooby Doo!! I watched it a lot as a kid and loved the real life movies as well. (The one on the island resort and the one with all the monsters. Not the most recent ones)

Mallary was allowed to keep her default "quackpth," because she is Mallary, and she can do what she wants.

In Ruddyoak, Lopez says "do me," because he managed to turn his house into...I don't know, but it looks like a brothel. So I decided he needed a pick-up line.

I've been using Scuse me on some of the girl villagers. Paula said it when she bought something from retail so I gave it to a few.

Yuka gets cutiepie or something sweet. I love when she tests it out on the waiter and calls him Cutiepie.

At one point in time, I had everyone saying "sugaryness". It started off with Peanut (before she left) and then it spread to almost everyone. It died out though. :c

But uh, let's see... right now:

Pompom says "ducky" cause she's a duck.
Kabuki currently says "stripes" cause he's striped. (It was "noraneko" which means stray cat in Jap.)
Sheldon says "water lily" which I gave to Bertha before she left and he took it. (or he says Kabuki's default catchphrase now... not sure)
Static says "zap" cause he's got that electric theme (but he pronounces it as "zape").
Kidd says "well, well" cause... Idk sounds like something he'd say.
Marina stole Static's "zap".
Tammy says Kabuki's default catchphrase....
Mira says "super hero" cause yeah her hero theme.
Prince says his default catchphrase.
Oliva says her default catchphrase.

what makes me laugh is when a jock character, like Tank the rhino, adopts the catchphrase i've given a normal, like Kiki the black cat. it's just funny for this rhino dude to end some he-man comment with "Kitty cat"

I gave Ruby the catchphrase of moon dust, because she's a moon bunny. Before that her catchphrase was moon face which was pretty funny. I also gave Miranda the catchphrase of custard for whatever reason - it has nothing to do with her species I just thought it sounded cute to say, whenever she's talking to other villagers or the player. However, I got really annoyed with her and made her catchphrase "pls end me" I kinda regret it now LOL, since she's moving away on the 4th (FINALLY) and I was mean to her by giving her that catchphrase, only for her to say she's loved living in this town. I think everybody else i've tried to keep the original catchphrase, yet everybody seems to be catching Lucky's catchphrase.

Cheri says "dope ass" because I thought she'd sound funny, which she actually does. Her greeting is "yaaas, slay" because of the same reason.
Sly also says "dope ass" because he stole it from Cheri.
Freya says "rawwr", as well as Fang. I didn't feel like racking my brains about it, lol.
Henry says "croak" because he's a frog.
Savannah says "cutiepie" because that's what I am, lmao.
Flo says "mec-mec" because of Pingu (in Spanish).
And Cube says "I'm hungry" because, well, he always is.

i try to have all my villagers be friendly to everyone because i want my town to be a pleasant place.

I give my villagers "dirty" phrases... well, used to. Ive stopped meddling in their nicknames and catch phrases, but before I stopped I had Drake saying "quack off" and I have Beau calling me "sweatermeatz" ^^; I swear Im a grown up... usually...

"dub DUBZ" or something like that
as a shortened version of Wubbalubbadubdub from Rick and Morty
