So what is the best way to catch flies? I need some for the museum. I heard that they are attracted to rotten fruit, but every time that I try that I get ants instead of flies. I also heard that they are attracted to trash, but I never see them when I drop trash on the ground. I know that, at least in Wild World, you could get that gross looking flower that would attract flies, but you'd need to let your town go for a very long time which I'm not willing to do. Is there any other way?
I caught a fly with rotten turnips, but make sure it isn't raining or snowing. I made that mistake at first. I just dropped them next to Retail and kept walking in and out until it was a fly instead of ants.
