Carnivore vs Herbivore vs Omnivore

I'm almost positive that you cannot survive on meat alone. Humans have been genetically engineered to eat meats and plants, but for some reason, people can survive on just plants.

i thought Eskimos survived on meat alone?

*edit i meant animal protein lol whatever

I usually eat whatever I feel like, but I lean toward meat. I'd stop since I know farmers give livestock such unhealthy conditions, but steak is just too delicious.

i don't eat any meat & i'm trying to work dairy out of my diet. but i guess i'm still an omnivore because of the dairy.

For dinner I chopped up a raw carrot and heated up some leftover mashed potatos tonight. This is my first meal without any meat whatsoever so it took me a while to think what I wanted in the fridge.

Omnivore, baby. Give me my beef, chicken, pork, seafood, cabbage, corn, potatoes, tomatoes, cauliflower, bananas, strawberries, grapes, apples, cakes, milkshakes, cookies, rice, noodles, cereal, wheat, YEAH! I'm not a picky eater in the slightest.

don't really like red meat and outside chicken and seafood i don't eat particularly eat meat as much as other protein rich foods, and eat fruits, vegetables, basically anything besides tomatoes which absolutely makes no sense because i'll eat them cooked into things. try to cut out unhealthy food entirely though

omnivore, but more herbivore than carnivore. i like veggies a lot more than meat.
maybe partly why i have slight iron deficiency.

I'm an omnivore, I love both meats, fruits, and vegetables, I do however dislike steak XD It's really dry and chewy, but I like other meats.

Pretty much herbivore. If I could eat just fruit for the rest of my life I'd be really happy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all humans considered omnivores? I learned from one of my science teachers before that, no matter what you eat, whether you lean more towards meat or vegetables, all humans are omnivores because we have the ability to eat both fruits and vegetables. Herbivores are considered herbivores because their diet mostly consists of plants and most herbivores are unable to process meat, and the same applies with carnivores and their strict meat diet (though some may eat fruits, but I believe it's not a main part of their diet). When I was a kid I used to think I was special because, oh, I like meat more so I must be a carnivore. Apparently it's not as simple as that. o:

Like, being a vegetarian is different from being an herbivore; vegetarians know they can process meat but make a conscious effort not to in order to follow a diet. Herbivores, on the other hand, can't process meat.

(Again, do correct me if I'm wrong because I was told about this when I was, like, 12.)

I'm an omnivore I guess because I do eat fish and occasionally chicken. I don't ever eat red meat though. I eat lots of vegetables, grains and stuff like lentils.

I'd have to say that as of right now I am an omnivore. I eat both meat and veggies during a weekly basis.
