Well basically I can't sleep and I've been in bed for like an hour and a half >_<
Anything I could do to make me more sleepy?

Melatonin pills about an hour or so before you go to bed. Take two if you're extremely hyper/ADHD (me)/Insomniac (me).

They're like vitamins. Unless you have something on your mind, then it means your body isn't producing enough Melatonin. Has this happened in the past?

Plus, and hour and a half isn't that bad...

Well computers stimulate the brain so it's a bad idea to go ask help online :V
Not necessarily. If you do something mind numbing enough, you can usually fall asleep at the computer.

Thanks for the replies :)
And normally I wouldn't mind but I have to be up early and I don't do well tired =(
It's happened to me a couple times in the week and I don't want it to become a habit, it's weird because last night I only had 7 hours which isn't alot for me, so you'd think I'd be tired >_<

Yeah, I always thought the computer makes you more tired because of the light ? :gyroidconfused:

Psychologically, it shouldn't. Actually, it should make you more tired for the fact that you have to strain your eyes to keep them open and watch the screen as well as process the images. That's why it's a bad idea to be on a computer or a video game for more than a two hour period without a 15-30 break. I sound like the inside of a console manual. >.<

Regardless, I would suggest running out to a whole foods or a pharmacy if you have trouble sleeping constantly and picking up melatonin pills. If you live with your parents talk to them about the pills, as well as a doctor if you want to go that far. They work for me and my friend.

Well I think I'm going to take cowbell's advice and drink some warm milk!
Night guys and thanks for the posts :)

You always want the room to be pretty dark about 30 minutes before you fall asleep. Reading a book before sleeping is more effective than persay watching TV or being on the computer. You also want to make sure that the room is nice and cool. Going to sleep in a warm/hot environment can be pretty bothersome.

You just described a physiological thing, not a psychological thing.

No matter... you're right about the melatonin. Frankly, the best advice I can give is go to sleep and wake up at the same time. You'd be surprised how quickly your body adjusts to a sleep schedule, to the point where you won't need an alarm if you go to bed on time. The melatonin comes in when you simply can't get to sleep on time, but don't rely on the stuff. I suggest just waking up when you need to, regardless of how much sleep you've gotten. During the day, don't take naps. If you're not tired at the time you need to go to bed, then go to bed anyway, damn it.

Always get the spelling of the two mixed up when I have autocorrect.

And yea, I agree. That was why i was checking to see if it was frequent. If it happens almost every night, then it might be considered an option.
