Can’t return lost item?SOLVED

So this morning I found a lost item. I investigated it but got the vague “someone lost this..” clue. So I ask someone and they said it was Dragos’s but ever time time I try to talk to Drago there’s no option to return it?
Edit: so I thought Hamphrey said it was Drago. Turns out it was Drake. Lol I guess I can’t read

I had this happen with Erik once, though it was for delivering a gift to him. I talked to him normally a few times (took two dialogues to trigger this) and it turned out he had a request of his own waiting to activate. Once that went through, I could give him the gift just fine. I’d try seeing if there’s something he wants.

Did you time travel at all while in possession of the item? I did that and it just became null.

Drop the item then try talking to Drago several times. He might have a favor or something. Then pick the item again and try to give it to him.

Or... with the item in your bag, save and restart the game.
