cant get signatures for club lol

I talked to shrunk and he told me to get signatures. When I talked to people I only had the option to ask if they were missing a missing item I was holding. When I gave the item back to the owner I can only talk tocitizens but I can't sign petition :/

I know it may be a potentially silly question, but do you have the clipboard in your mayor's inventory? Maybe the game just glitched somehow and you didn't get it?

Save and quit, then try again

Make sure you have the clipboard Shrunk gave you in your pockets or you won't be able to collect signatures ~

Make sure you have the clipboard in your pockets! If it's there and you're not getting any maybe try save and quit and then re load your mayor!

All sorted, I went to main street and got the clipboard from shrunk I don't know why he didn't just give me it when I first met him outside my house
