Candy restock: purchasing issues

I've attempted to purchase the candy collectibles twice today without any luck. The previous days, there was too much lag, so I gave up. Today I clicked purchase while the candy was available, and I had a never-ending display of "updating your cart". With the last restock, I clicked purchase and the candy showed up in my cart. I then clicked view cart and it disappeared!

So I spent several minutes staring at the countdown, ready to pounce, and it either never updates or disappears from my cart. Why did that happen? I wasted all that time for a virtual piece of candy and get nothing

That would be because someone managed to get it purchased before you.

Yes, I would assume. They should make it so that if it's in your cart, you have at least so much time (heck, even 5 seconds) to complete the purchase.

Oh, and before anyone mentions, yes I suppose it's a bit of a temper tantrum. These little candies showing up in the cart and disappearing are quite frustrating. It kinda plays with you head....you think you finally got one, and poof it's gone XD

I'd close this thread since there is already a similar one with this issue mentioned, but that option isn't available.
