Can you gift a bed to a villager?

Can you give a new bed to a villager? I want to give the racecar bed to Stitches I am afraid he simply won’t put it out or he will put it out without removing his single wooden bed. Thanks!

Yeah I gave Sprocket a racecar bed to replace his sleeping bag, and now he has both displayed.

I forgot that skye has a bed cause she doesnt when shes crafting so i gave her a simple wooden bed and now she has both out. I tried giving her a cute bed but she doesnt put it out

It seems tricky to get the villagers to change their beds. I managed to get Poncho (one of my starters) to replace his sleeping bag with an actual bed, but I gifted him a ton of furniture before I did that, so the "slots" for furniture were filled. I haven't had much luck trying this with Pashmina, however

That's a good idea. I'll try that. I never thought about filling them with furniture first so they're more likely to replace than to add new stuff. Thanks!

More likely you can gift anything to your villager, even music. I changed one of my villagers' music in their house.
