Can you find Amiibo exclusive/E-reader villagers in mystery islands?

I've been wondering this for a while. I've only taken maybe 5 trips and haven't seen any.

None of the villagers are exclusive to cards in this game. You can get any of them from random move-ins, the campsite, and islands.
