Hello!
I'm plot resetting in my new town, and one of the spots I've set aside for a villager is only a square away from the vertical running beach cliff.
Here's a picture to show what I mean: click here!
I want a villager to move in one square across from this plot, where the blue patterns are.

Is it possible for a villager to move in directly adjacent to these cliffs? I don't see why not, but I just wanted to double check before I get too committed to my plans. ;P

Thank you for reading!

Ive never had mine get that close, but I am no expert, Im sure others will know better.

Yes! I moved Olivia to another of my towns and I didn't care about where she chose and she chose right next to the cliff as you want your villager!!

Thank you both so much for your answers!
Skye, that is wonderful news, thank you so much!! I really appreciate it!
Phew, I can breathe easy. Now it's just a matter of plot resetting my villager into that spot, hehe!
Thank you again!

Yes, they can. At least I think so because I've had villagers move really close to the edge of cliffs before.

The only thing i think you can't do is have a villager live 1 square vertically from a cliff. So yes what everyone else said :)

I can confirm yes! Molly lives one space next to the river! Same with cliffs. Tia lives one space from the cliff! And all the way aound you just need to be one space apart from the river to be able to plot a house there :)
