...having sensitivity as a personality trait is so bad?

Okay, I won't get offended if you tell me I'm stupid or fat (because I know I'm not), but honestly, I am sensitive if you tell me I fail at life and that I'll never have friends or if you tell me to "pull the plug on the internet, you white whore", because those things are RUDE. Yet, if I get offended by them, I'm marked as a childish, unintelligent idiot... it makes no sense.

Can someone please, please tell me why sensitivity is frowned upon?

Get off of here you noob! No one likes you! Get back on your lady gay gay forum!

You can believe you're not fat, but that you fail at life?

It's obvious you're neither, just don't bother.

... I was friends with too weeaboos. One was witty and could hold up an argument, the other was rather dull and only cared about Death Note and Organization XIII (their usernames here are <3 :o and demdemdemyx, respectively, but let's just call them M and O).

We didn't have the same interests. All they wanted to talk about was Japan and Hikaru Utada, and all I wanted to talk about was Greek mythology and Lady Gaga.

They almost always agreed with each other, and almost always disagreed with me. So I tried getting into the things that they like, such as Kingdom Hearts and... no, sorry, Death Note is just annoying.

So then some twelve-year-old dickhead with the screen name PMSingSquirrel started calling me racist terms. The two did nothing about this and even said it was funny... then M started saying that I was too sensitive and *****ed out at inappropriate times, so I stopped doing that and whenever an anon would sent an insult, I'd just say okay. But then M (note how O doesn't play any significant role...) started telling me I took it too far. PMSingSquirrel told me to leave the internet, so I did. Then I logged on my other FS account to delete my contacts, and I found out they were calling me rude terms like racist to Asians and that I was a white whore... and on and on.

You don't call these guys friends do you? 'Cuz i sure as hell wouldn't.

There's nothing really wrong with being too sensitive, but sometimes you might need to be a little stronger to survive this world.

My advice, find better friends.
