Ok so I got Katie for the first time had no clue what to do, I was VMs that the person had a Katie but I could come anyway and would get the gift from her and he would give me his Katie? I said ok, got on train she dropped her ticked made an alarmed signal, I got to his town...he said all fake arts fossils and ores and fortune tickets on plaza must go and laughed didn't explain. I have played a year never had Katie...I know she is in my original town..so will get another shot when play it another day but I specified I had nine please no voiders..

Did this person trick me? I'm confused....and probably need to find a villager to intake today from dream list if unlikely one need here as ten pops up before I get my first ever unexpected guest...This happened so fast I was tting for Gracie upgrade newish town few weeks in game time...I saw her and thought wow I will do this but no clue what happened.

Katie isn't a villager so she wouldn't void into your/his town and she's an NPC. I think in the future though try not to include all of the details about taking the ore/art because it's not really relevant to the question. You will still get the reward. If someone has had Katie recently she will drop her ticket so they won't have her again soon.

If the receiving player just had her, she will drop her ticket so whoever is receiving katie won't have to travel with her again so soon since not everyone can.

Simplified...my first Katie in a new town with an empty spot. I asked if someone with clean void would take her. I get a vm saying I have Katie but bring her anyway and you'll get the present and I hope you'll take mine. It's that simple, if he has a voider not Katie I may get it and where is she?

He offered to take her and he also offered you to take stuff? Idk. She leaves your town anyway so she isn't there anymore. And yes if he has a void then you might get them.

I think he was just trying to get rid of junk. And you still will get the reward regardless if she travels or not.

If she is taken to the train station, she will either get on the train with the player, or lose her ticket and miss the train as a result. If she missed the train, she will say in a letter that she got the next one. Regardless of the event, the player will still receive a gift from her the next day via a letter.

He was probably trying to clear up junk he had laying around and offered it to you, Katie is not a villager so you will not get her as a void. You will get the reward regardless if she comes or not with you. If he had Katie then he should have come to drop her off after you if he wanted to. Katie will drop her ticket if the person you are bringing her to has had her recently. You will receive the gift in the mail the next day. I can't help anymore i'm sorry but i have tried and other people have tried and theres nothing more to say. There is no way to really confirm if his void is cleared or not so you will have to take his word on it. To be safe, the next morning load up a new character so if you did get a void then at least you may be able to plot them decently so they don't kill any hybrids. That's all the advice i can give.

If you're worried he was lying about not having voided anyone, just stay on the same day until you can adopt someone of your choosing. I have Chevre in my main town. If she pings today, I'll let you know.
