Can someone explain what happened to me?

This thread is so confusing, but I'll do my best to explain what I know. Sometimes when you take Katie to another town, she drops her ticket and sometimes she doesn't. Either way, don't worry. You'll get a letter in the mail from her the next morning with a gift attached. If someone drops her off in your town (whether she drops her ticket or not), you'll find her wandering around in about 3 days. When you speak to her, she'll ask you to take her to another town. No one has to bring her to you in order for her to show up. She's been in my town about 12 times and NO ONE ever brings her over.

Katie doesn't affect any of the villagers in your town. She's a special character, like Gulliver, and traveling with her shouldn't cause any issues. The only reason to take her somewhere is to get a gift. However, she'll disappear in 24 hours if you ignore her.

Oh, ok she isn't a villager sadly, it would be weird to have a villager that doesn't live in your town walk around and do villager things in your town.

I can't simplify it more, I write as I speak I am an Eng Lit major, 31. There are no necessaries, I get a Katie someone says he has her in town but she will come and send the gift I have never had this. I show up he says take all the fake arts and fortune wrappers off my plaza and laughed. Katie didn't follow me, he didn't have one back. Said clear void. If that is unclear Im sorry I've been up all night I am very sick I have the dr later for my scan results. I will rest and see if anyone understand this when I get back after. I am being as simple as I can here.

I just was rumored this person may be a scammer so I guess I just need to look to adopt in today and hope nothing corrupted.

It's not likely that anything corrupted. I'm sorry you're sick, and I hope you feel better soon. This was all a bit confusing, but it doesn't sound like you have anything to worry about.

It was to me as well, I never had her, I didn't know the process and there were some other variables like the wifi going down but I knew Katie was not a villager so whoever asked what was wrong with me please be polite. It was a strange situation all around, thank you to the last two replies if someone can close this that would be great. Or just let it die off.

I meant thanks to the one above and the one with ch?vre, as far as not ever having Katie I didn't know the process. I did know she was a special visitor, I meant I hoped he wasn't resetting and purposely giving me a void as I got a pm but that's anonymous, I usually don't do deals with people without much wifi and there were things that were off and that's all. But no I never considered her as a voider, that's silly, I explained I had nine here in op, when I got there it was...off and strange and then wifi went off when I asked him, so I asked about the normal Katie process to gauge the situation plus the strange activity when I was there that's all, asked and answered.
