So, I am really unsure about how the whole Amiibo card villagers move out NATURALLY situation. I know you can boot them out with another Amiibo card/figure but I am unsure as to when they move out naturally. I tried to TT in a town to get the amiibo villagers out but they just wouldn't move not matter how many times I tried. The only villagers who would potentially try to move were ones I got from someone else or just ones who lived in my town from the start or from campsite. I know there is a reason and whatnot but that's what I'm not sure of! If someone could explain this to me I would really appreciate it!

Well, for whatever reason Nintendo made it impossible (I believe) for Amiibo villagers to ping to move. I heard that the only way that they'll ping to announce they're leaving is if the entire village is filled with at least 8 Amiibo villagers. I'm sorry if this didn't answer your question...

No that did actually answer my question! So if I want villagers to be able to move, I have to basically only get them from other people or the campsite! Thanks for that :)

I thought that maybe this had been unintentional, and that in the 1.5 update that amiibo villagers may now ping to move?

But I could be wrong about that. I don't have many amiibo villagers in my town yet and can't really say that's been experience.

This isn't true, Ketchup pinged to move today

i believe this was resolved with the 1.5 update but i've not seen any conclusive evidence since the update was released aside from scattered anecdotal evidence. i'll probably end up doing my own testing with my second village this weekend and post my results just so there's some more definitive proof of how/when amiibo villagers ping to move.
