Can someone explain the Amiibo card glitch?

The new glitch isn't entirely focused on Amiibo anymore. Here's a link to the document.

Basically, any villager adoption has a chance of glitching, which is exacerbated by the fact that villagers can be passed on with the void, which in itself may or not be glitched. It's a huge mess.

" Don’t invite others to you if you have or had a villager moving out OR an open plot"
I don't get this point in the document. So can my friends not come over?

If you plan on having an open plot, going online with your friend is dangerous if they have voided villagers. If you have voided villagers, it's dangerous for your friends if they're planning to have open plots. If no one has moved out any villagers among your friends, you're fine.

The thing with this glitch is that it's very unpredictable in how it manifests and spreads, and there's misinformation being spread/honestly, no one really knows what's going on, so it's easier for people to say things like, "Just don't go online unless you're fine with maybe getting a glitch."
