Can I TT back to remove a roped off move-in area?

So I was playing with TT today (I need Gracie to come to my town so I can get my last store expansion, and I need more fortunes by Katrina, and also I was bored) and I had 8 villagers so I was expecting a move in.
However the signs says Benedict and ugh, ugh, no.
Can I go back to today's date and his roped off area be gone? Or will it just pop his house up and him be unpacking?

(Also, I did search for this question, and I read many threads that I thought might hold the answer, but I'm not finding anything about going back in time and doing this, mostly how to go forward in time and how it affects move ins/move outs. :/ So if someone could help me I'd really, really appreciate it!)

Alas, no :( When you TT backwards, it counts as moving forward one day. No matter how many days you tt back in one go, it still counts as moving forward one day. Once a villager's house is in ropes, it is finalized unless you are playing as a brand new character that has not spoken to Isabelle yet.

Oh great. u.u I get to deal with an ugly chicken.

Well thank you very much for telling me, at least I know that I might as well just keep moving forward.

Theres a trick to moving out unwanted villagers however, I use it all the time.
When when Benedict moves in - talk to him once and never again.
Then TT two days forward - choose one villager and talk to them until they tell you that they need to be left alone (they will have a thought bubble above their head)
They may mention that someone is moving, if not then TT 2 more days ahead.
Repeat the steps, find a villager to talk too (Not Benedict) and do the same as stated before, until the day comes that one of your villagers says Benedict is thinking of moving..or if you give up cx

But I hope this helps! It works for me and I've gotten one of my dreamies by doing that~

Unfortunately I already talked to him twice on both of my characters (on accident, someone pinged me and they were behind a tree and I didn't check before I talked and I think he's onto me and knows I want rid of him), so I will just go with the suffocate him with kindness path and eventually when he looks outside his window and sees my characters staring at him from the rain he'll start packing.

Unfortunately no you cant. when you load up the mayor it finalises everything including the move-in area, so even if you TT it won't get rid of this area. Also if you TT it'll put his house down. Good luck on trying to get him to move-out though!

Ah, if only we could :( I really wish villager move ins/outs could be controlled better in this game.
Maybe a notice up the day before a plot shows up to say who is moving in or something....or the option to ask them to leave after they been there a certain time.
On the positive, if you get somebody else to move in after him you should be able to get him out pretty fast!

A question about that, though, say I load up a second [already made] character, does it finalize everything as well, or does just loading the mayor finalize things?
