so i kinda got carried away with forming and decorating my island that i forgot to dedicate a place for my museum. the only leftover place available for it is the beach but i have no idea how to make it work. i can only pretend its a marine science museum so thats why its on the beach or something. Any ideas and what furniture/custom designs i should use?

I had my museum on the beach for a while before I moved it to the cliffs at the back of my island.

I just used some stone stepping stone custom patterns to create a path and used hedges, flowers and potted plants to create a bit of a sense of a more 'formal' entrance way and surroundings.

If there's space, you could try a fountain, archway, statue, or Dino skeleton out front or to the side, too.

I definitely would add Dinosaur skeletons where you could has it would kinda look like you had found them buried in the sand around your island or maybe add fossils everywhere for the same effect :)

I think the sandy beach can be a nice surrounding area for the museum! You could mix ancient, wooden, metal and a few pirate themed elements to give it that marine flair. With a keg outside, a life ring, items from Gullivarrr, some selected fossils, one or two statues and shells on display or even some shell furniture pieces for extra accents.

this actually sounds like a really cool place for the museum! my museum is close to the beach too

You could use quite a lot of the Gulivarrr items, like the steering wheel. I think using rope fences would be great too, and some of the smaller rock-fossils would be nice since you might not have a lot of space on the beach for bigger fossils (I also just prefer the small ones).

I also think you should include the anchor item from the fishing tournament! you can go for a 'fresh' look by keeping it clean/white, or you could go for a mossy look. And some rock DIY items too, you could make those mossy as well! (garden rock, flat garden rock etc)

And I also think you should include some wood, like the country fence and the log stakes!
oh and ofcourse include a life ring! I think the orange one would look great. also a tourist telescope!

I actually love the beach museum idea wow I'm inspired!

if you catch some oarfish or some of the larger fish in game, you could display them. i think the larger tanks could look like little exhibits! maybe roped off with the rope fence.

Maybe use the ammonite fossil somewhere! It's three fossils on one side and one large one on the other so you could use a couple of them :) think it would fit the ocean/museum theme. Maybe the trilobite too and some of the other ones like shark tooth pattern

You should show us some pictures of the beach area where you'll be placing the museum. Having an idea of what the surroundings will look like will give us a better idea of what will and won't work.

I have my museum near my front beach and I decorated my area in front of it to be an aquarium area to display sea creatures and some of the fishing tourney stuff I've collected. It's really beachy while being museum-ish at the same time!

For custom design I used a sea creature stall design, a custom museum sign with my island name, and some decking! I went with blue because it felt beachy and it pretty much goes with anything!

I never think of putting my museum on the beach but that would be really interesting to see . Also thanks for the inspiration!

You could decorate with fish models around it and you can find some custom designs that look like am excavation site to put on the beach that would look pretty cool

That’s true also stuff from fish tournament would be nice as well ;)

Yeah...being close to the beach, I would make it beach themed. There is a DIY for some giant seashells. Those would look pretty nice by the museum. There is also an Easter Island head that looks neat on the beach. You could add tiki torches near the entrance to give it a kind of 'Jurassic Park' vibe. Fish models, etc. I would just work with the location and do what feels right.
