Can I get a camper to move in?

I have Marshal, and I really want him.

I also have Walker, who is currently packed and in boxes.

I've also heard from a few people, some on this forum, that when a villager is packed, the game thinks it's 9 villagers.

In a way, I think this is logical, since a camper's house doesn't appear until the next day anyways.

So, since Walker is packed, is it still possible for me to get the move-in convo with Marshal? ;-;

Even after the tenth villager has moved out (after someone has come in and invited them to move to another town), if there house is still there then they're still considered the tenth villager. Due to this it's not possible to invite someone else to come live in your town until the next day - so I imagine it applies to the campsite too.

Is it at all possible, in any way, for them to stay a second day? I will make alt chars for hours if I have to. Nobody gives Marshal up without a price... ;-; A huge price, that I'll never be able to afford.

You can try, but I hate to burst your bubble, the game still thinks your tenth villager is Walker... So unfortunately I don't think he can move in. You can tell villager camping have the potential to move in if while you talke to them the first time, they'll say something like "Boy this town is great, I may move here, heheh" But campers can reapper, I've had Caludia and Anabelle three times *-*

When Marshal was in my campsite I believe he stayed in the camp for another day or two after the day he initially appeared.
I had asked him to move in that first day though, so that might have had something to do with it.
It wouldn't hurt to try though, plus campers can reappear. I've seen Caroline twice.
