Can anyone else not register a friend at the moment?

I was looking at the turnip prices thread and I was about to add someone on my 3DS but an error code comes up "001-0811" and it says, "The server is currently undergoing maintenance." So I can't register anyone at the moment.

Is anyone having the same problem?

Oh ok good not just me. I accidentally dropped my 3DS on the hard floor and I'm like, "I broke it! It won't connect!" lol but yeah it's obv maintenance affecting everyone. How long does it take usually?

I know that feeling, ack! I dropped mine on concrete and it bounced... miraculously undamaged aside from rattled SD card that had to be reinserted, but that was a very stressful time as I then had to wait out server maintenance to confirm everything still functioned.

It might just be that I'm in Australia, but I find the maintenance can last hours.. even once it stops showing that error code, I'll frequently get a general "something went wrong" error for hours or a day later... considering I'm usually trading between my two towns physically right next to each other, and while the internet here isn't the best my IT guy has made it the best it can be and prioritised my gaming... yeah, it's a worry.
