Can a Villager ping you in Bug-Off?

Lolly said (in her house) Shep was thinking of moving and I'm devastated and so upset. I went to talk to him in Bug-Off but he was catching a bug and now he's angry.

1. What's the cooldown for him being angry?

2. Can I talk to Shep during Bug-Off to convince him NOT to move?

i haven't gotten any pings during the bug off. you could try after it has ended at 6 :<

Do you think if I can "force" him into his house by repeatably saving & quitting and rejoining? It isn't working so far for me by doing that. >.<

sometimes they go into their house by doing that, otherwise try TT:ing an hour or so and he might be in his house ;;

Villagers only start to ping when the ceremony ends and after you talk about them about the ceremony. Then use the diving trick to get Shep to ping you about moving. Do not save and quit. Cause it will trigger the villagers to talk about the ceremony again.
