Can a village leave without telling you?..

Is it true that a villager with a high friendship can move out without telling you?... Do the other villager still gossip about the move out if it is true?. I was just thinking I would be so heartbroken if Beau decided to leave without telling me.

I think villagers always gossip no matter the friendship level. You just gotta be sure you dont miss it accidentally.

It is possible if you don't play often enough, as they won't be able to ping you if you're not playing.

But if you do play and talk to them often, it's pretty unlikely that they won't tell you that they're leaving.

I have a high friendship with Poppy, and she pings me all the time whenever I'm playing, sometimes about leaving.

imo your friendship level has nothing to do with which villager the game randomly picks to think about moving. also, i almost never get pinged after i hear a moving rumor, until i save and reload the game- then i always get pinged when i see the villager rumored to be thinking of leaving...

They can, but only if you don't play for a while. Happened to my friend yesterday. They hadn't played in a week and when they loaded up their game, their all-time favorite villager, Winnie, was in boxes.

It absolutely can happen regardless of friendship level. Despite my high friendship level with Katt, she did move without telling me and none of my other villagers mentioned she was thinking about moving.

This is why I now use a calendar to note who has pinged me and when. When I start getting close to 5-6 of no pings it's time to start saving and restarting until someone does ping me.

Yes, but if you play every day then you'll be notified when your villagers go into boxes by Isabelle.

It depends on how frequently you talk to them, because obviously if they're planning to leave and you talk to them a lot then they'll end up telling you in casual conversation.

They can, it has happened to me, but usually it's avoidable as long as you play often.
