Can a campsite villager replace a current one?

My sister currently has Boomer at her campsite (random, not invited), and wants to replace Rodney. Is it possible?

Yes. You have to convince the camper to move in. They will state a name of a random villager to kick out. When you see the name pop up, immediately hit the home button and do not continue the convo if the name isn’t Rodney. Then close the software without saving. Open up and repeat until he says Rodney. If you read the name of the villager he wants to kick out and continue the convo, it will auto save.

Yup, the campsite villager can kick out any villager on your island. Although if you want to kick out a specific one, you might need to reset it a few times.

Yes it’s possible. If you have 10 villagers you can invite the camper still, but the camper will pick a random villager from your island so close the game and restart if the villager wants to move out a villager you want to keep until the villager wants to move out Rodney.

A regular Campsite villager will pick one specific villager and will only be able to replace them. The villager can be changed by resetting before finishing the original dialogue that states who they want to replace. Once it autosaves, it is locked in place.

An Amiibo Campsite villager can replace anyone.
