Campsite reset trick

Hi everyone!

Since my ninth villager is moving out today (Miranda, if anyones interested). I haven't found anyone who has one of my dreamies in boxes, so I've been trying to do the campsite reset trick. However, I've resetted like 15 times already, and only had ONE camper, which wasn't one of my dreamies.

Am I doing something wrong? I haven't started up my main player's game yet, so that can't be the problem. I haven't saved or anything either...

Edit: I'm sure I was just a bit unlucky, as I've had multiple campers now! Thanks for the help though <3

Wouldn't that result in the random move in I'm trying to avoid, though? I just saw the second tent in about an hour, so I guess I was just unlucky!

Yep, my ninth villager is moving out today, so as of tomorrow I'll have eight villagers.

The chances on getting a random move-in are very low, it took about 15 days in my 2nd town (which I use for tting) for a random move-in to plot after a villager moved out.

There is a 3 day period after your 9th villager has moved where no random move in is allowed to plot but I believe that rule doesn't apply for void move-in's. Good luck with camper resetting.
