Campsite never being used?

I've gotten four since the first forced one, so about 1 a week (no time traveling)

I think there's no defined frequency, for example, you could get good rng and get two visitors in a week like I did, or you could go dry two full months ingame... like I also did.

I think they definitely set the chance far lower than we all anticipated. Not sure why, or if that's set to change. Hopefully it does, I rely on the campsite to find the personalities I'm missing!!

I've had zero visits since the initial forced one. I just make use of the empty site to scan in random amiibo cards to see if I can score any new DIY recipes.

I've had three or four since my first camper, but that's with maybe 2-3 extra weeks of time due to TTing. I seem to average one camper about every 1.5 to two weeks, although once I went for almost three weeks with no campers.

I was especially excited with my last camper, Cranston, who showed up yesterday. I asked him to move in because I was so happy to finally find a good lazy villager.

I got Chadder as my “forced” camper and other than Amiibo, have never seen another camper since.

I've only had two, Lucky and Vivian. but it was probably from my massive time traveling to move out villagers they appeared.

This surprised me for some reason. I didn't know it people have gotten less visitors compared to NL. Maybe I'm just lucky? Today I have my fifth visitor staying at the campsite (if you include the first force-in camper).

Since you have gotten a lot of campsite villagers, have you used any amiibo at all? I was starting to wonder if the fact I haven't seen any villages in my campground was because the game realized I've used an amiibo almost every day since I've unlocked the campsite.

Hm… would be a bit weird if that's the case. But no, I haven't used any amiibos (don't own any)

I only seen two so far randomly, Graham (the one I was forced to move in) and Lobo.

I have managed to get one after the initial move in, but it's for the best that I don't get any more, because I have 10 villagers and none of them ever want to move out! So with my luck I'd get a villager that I really want at the campsite haha :')

Yeah. I have always hated the campsite to be honest. Takes up room for almost nothing. I think I had one visit since I played the game. I have gotten two more visits but that was when I was time travelling multiple days. I think there should be a a villager in the campsite at least once a week. Make it worth while to be there. And give us more opportunities to experience new villagers. There is so many villagers in the game, and they hardly every visit. Makes no since to be. As soon as I get an empty lot, I just go to the island anyone to get a villager so my friends voided villagers don't come to my island. Which makes campsite worthless.

I haven't put up my 10th plot, which might be why I haven't had any villagers visit (beside my amiibo ones). Wish some would come though lol.

There seems to be an increasing percentage by day, which dictates whether a camper will appear or not:

Day 1: 0%
Day 2: 0%
Day 3: 5%
Day 4: 10%
Day 5: 15%
Day 6+: 20%

So, yeah. Its a little uncommon, but you should see one every week under good luck.

might be deliberate so that people can use amiibo more easily

You can get campers even with 10 villagers, since random campers can still boot a random villager out in order to move in if invited.

I've been so annoyed by this. I started doing temporary time traveling to quickly move buildings and it's been like 2 months not including almost a month of non-TT gameplay and I haven't seen a camper once. That is ridiculous. I've been inviting my dreamies with amiibo cards every day but I would love to find random villagers every now and then. It's just disappointing and for someone who doesn't have amiibo cards it might feel completely useless. :/

I really hope they up the camper spawn rate it cause it seems to be very low. One of my favorite things in NL was seeing that orange tent set up.
