In my search, I've met every single smug because they all turned up in my campsite.

On (real) day 3, I was close to quitting. The tedium was exhausting. My husband remarked that I looked unusually stressed. My son told me not to give up. After the last smug (before Raymond showed up) had camped, I had to meet 9 more campers of different personalities. Part of me was convinced that my game was borked, I would not get Raymond, it was never going to happen. It got so that I started feeling trepidation before I entered the tent; I had no doubt only bitter disappointment awaited me.

Naturally, I squealed-screamed when I entered for camper #72. It was Raymond. Husband and son came running, concerned. I told them. They were so pleased for me. I was just flabbergasted. Exhausted. Bewildered. It felt surreal. Was I dreaming? Hallucinating? Did I survive the ordeal?

All the villagers who camped:
Kidd, Caroline, Huck, Phil, Boris, Gala, Hans, Fuchsia, Ken, Pietro, Elmer, Vesta, Tex, Colton, Tiffany, Annalise, Paula, Chops, Camofrog, Barold, Pippy, Rasher, Lopez, Ike, Apple, Julian, Hippeux, Olaf, Kyle, Graham, Lucha, Marshal, Shep, Kitt, Del, Egbert, Quillson, Rodney, Beau, Ava, Nibbles, O'Hare, Lionel, Klaus, Rizzo, Ribbot, Ed, Curlos, Elise, Bettina, Keaton, Jacques, Agnes, Zell, Broccolo, Chadder, Mallary, Henry, Kiki, Rowan, Eugene, Flurry, Phoebe, Mott, Cheri, Prince, Nan, Iggly, Samson, Friga.

To anyone who plans to use the campsite method to search for their favorite villager, I say:

You are not alone. Don't give up. It will happen.

ahhh congrats!!!
raymond better be busy writing a 24 hour long symphony dedicated to how amazing you are in preparation to perform it in front of you while you eat the 12 course luxury meal that he also made for you upon platinum platters wherein every dish involves some form of caviar because gotdamn he don't deserve you.

i hope you two hit it off lol

Congratulations! I squealed when I saw Raymond in my campsite too after going through the same journey as you. You can finally take a well-deserved breather. Enjoy Raymond!

If i got Chadder before Raymond i'd cave... O_o wow grats, i'm scared to do this because they might pick Cyd to leave even though i have like 3 normals they could of chose instead? My one Cranky-nope!

Yep, that's always a concern with the campsite method. So you have to be prepared to give up any of the villagers the camper picks.

I was worried it'd be Claude. I love that bug-obsessed unibrow bunny so much! Raymond picked Renee, who was my only uchi and my most recent move-in. But that's okay. I'll get another uchi again in the future.

No, do the reset trick! When they name someone you don’t want to lose, immediately drop out of the game with the home button and close without saving. Do this before the conversation advances! If it doesn’t save, they can choose another villager to replace. It can take a long, long time unless you get lucky, but it can be done.

That's such a great tip! Hopefully it helps everyone who's currently using the campsite method. (y)

I've been trying for a peppy today. Okay, it's Audie. And then you realize there are 68 peppies. While it's a good method, it's not fun (especially because of the load times). I got up to 23 campers today before quitting for now:

Cookie, peppy
Flora, peppy
Jitters, jock
Drago, lazy
Piper, peppy
Hugh, lazy
Nibbles, peppy
Cheri, peppy
Peggy, peppy
Ruby, peppy
Jacques, smug
Freckles, peppy
Mitzi, normal
Robin, snooty
Maddie, peppy
Wendy, peppy
Tutu, peppy
Puck, lazy
Winnie, peppy
Peanut, peppy
Dotty, peppy
Victoria, peppy
Claude, lazy

Yes, I passed some good ones. Even some great ones. Flora, Wendy, Winnie. Victoria has a great house. I consider Peanut to be THE iconic animal in all of AC. But, I'm sticking to wanting Audie. I'm all about the wolves and I have to have the only peppy one.

Oh...yikes.

I'm sorry, but I have a single cardinal rule when it comes to Animal Crossing. THAT IS TO NEVER TIME TRAVEL AT ANY POINT.

I believe this method would surely spare me the pain I'm going through now(as I'm desperately seeking Judy, despite the island population being full). But as it involves TT, I really can not bring myself to do it at all... I'm sorry.

You can still not have a snooty and have all the other personalities. Then, on the days when a camper comes, they are more likely to be snooty. And, if you have an open plot, it is more likely to randomly place a snooty. It will be slow, slow going, but it might help.

I don't like to TT and I hated every second of it, but I hoped it would work. It didn't in the short run.

That sounds like a strong idea. I wonder if it's possible to use the Amiibo function to chase those with certain personalities out, so that it might be easier to run into those with the Snooty personality.
Post automatically merged:

That's cool. I hope you find Judy soon!
Thank you! I might have an idea to make it a little easier, though it involves chasing the other two Snooties out so I could run into Judy easier.
