Camper Question

Yesterday I got Static to agree to move in to my town. He's going to be my ninth villager. I started up a new character today to plot reset his house but no plot was to be found. I tried again, still no plot.

Should I be worried? Should I save with the new character even though there's no plot and try again tomorrow? Or should I just keep restarting with a new character until the plot appears?

What time is it on your town?If it happens to be before 6am,it still counts as yesterday,as a new day won't 'start' until after 6am.

I wouldn't worry, they take two days at most.

That's normal! It takes two days for a camper to show up in your town after you've invited them. His plot should show up tomorrow.

Takes one or two days. Likely it's two days this time (it's always been one day for me for anyone who's going to say it's always 2 days) so just TT to tomorrow and plot reset then or just wait.

This may be obvious, but you can't time travel to a new day with a new character. I usually get on with a current character at about 5:55 am, then immediately save and quit. I wait 5 minutes (or whatever's needed to make it 6:00), then create the new character.

So is the best practice now to save with the new character and then delete the new character file to reuse when you load tomorrow? I have very limited experience with plot resetting - I probably would have given up on the plot, opened with a regular character and ended up with a plot I didn't want!

Yeah, sometimes it takes more then one day when you get someone from the camp. I notice though that when you get a villager from another person they are usually plotted the next day!
