Camper moving in with only 8 villagers...

Its been like 5 days since my 9th villager moved away, leaving only 8. Today Zucker was in my campsite, so I asked him to move in! Should I still expect an extra villager to move in as my "9th"? or will Zucker count of my 9th? TIA

Iirc you're only guaranteed a 9th random move-in after seven days. I don't know if you moving Zucker in will cancel out the possibility of a random move-in though. If anything, you'll get a random move-in as your 9th and Zucker as your 10th, and worst case scenario you'll get a random move-in that'll cancel out Zucker, but the latter doesn't seem too probable.

Basically I have no idea and have never thought of this.

From my experience, Zucker should count as your 9th.

The only time I've ever gotten two people moving in at the same time is when I've invited another villager into my town the same time as I've invited the campsite villager.

From experience, when you ask someone to move in they cancel out anyone else.
