I apologize for the rubbish image quality, I have no clue how to upload images from a DS so I just took a photo of my town map..
The red circles are the options I've kept going back to (though I'm definitely leaning towards the space by the town hall), but since it's a permanent PWP I thought it would be a good idea to ask for opinions before I place it and potentially feel like I've ruined my town. I am also of course open to any suggestions other than where I've circled.

personally, i was wondering what it would look like in the center stretch of land - if you don't have something there. i love approaching a cafe and seeing it rise on the horizon - with your house on the other side of the river of the right circle - it doesn't seem like you'd get a great view of it that way. so either a position a bit freer to see and move around or the one by the museum, is what i would suggest !!
I actually like the area next to Town Hall. While having the cafe overlook the river sounds nice, I like to leave a little space in front of my main buildings so you can walk up to them. It allows for more options when landscaping in my opinion.
My goal in ac is to embrace everything. If I liked where I placed a shop, villager ect and I hate it now, I try to work with it and embrace it! Best of luck
