Buying new computer

I might buy a new computer, if I can convince my mom, and if I can put $22 together every month for the payment.
I decided against a Mac, because I'll be using it for some gaming.
I'm wondering if this will run FSX.
This is my old computer.
It's an HP Pavilion a1700n.
AMD Athlon 3800 64x2 Dual core processor
1024 MB RAM
250 GB hardrive
NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE
OS: Vista Home premium

This computer costs $800, but it's much better than one I bought for the same price just 2 years ago.

The computer I'm interested in:
It's an HP Pavilion NP200AA-ABAa6720y
Processor: AMD Phenom 9550 quad core processor
Harddrive: 640 GB
RAM: 6 GB
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 9100
OS: Vista home premium.

Will this suffice my needs for FSX, GIMP, and the internet?

Holy crap, that's a pretty good computer you are buying. It should do everything you want it to, and then some. More than enough for gaming such as TF2 or L4D.

EDIT: That quad core computer, and 6GB RAM is absolutely beast!

I didn't even know Best Buy had layaway plans until today, so I realized I can finally buy my own computer! :gyroidsideways:

The problem is one of the my major motivation for a new computer is FSX, which is a Games for window game. I would have to run paralells, which would kill performance on an already power hungry game.
