Buying a Wii U Monday! Need some information/advice~

Well, I have Hyrule Warriors updating right now :)
Gonna take a look at the DLC before actually playing it though.

If you haven't already, I recommend actually buying the DLC, it's well worth the money.
I don't buy many DLC's (I can literally count how many I've bought with one hand) but Hyrule Warriors DLC was too good not to buy.

I just checked the file sizes for the game.
22.7 GB if you download it. If you want the disc version, there's a 10 GB update to make load times faster.

Lul,whut...I hope the update comes from the disc itself, or if it's downloaded online then at least not be a mandatory update.

It would just defeat part of the reason to why I like physical copies if it required a mandatory 10GB download. I'm fine if it comes on the same/second disc or something though (sort of like GTAV did).

I bought the Hero Pack, the pack of 4 for $19.99. :)
I think I'm just missing a few of the $0.99 costume packs now!
Buying some virtual console games now~

It's an optional update but people highly recommend it.

Oh, good.

I'll be downloading the update, I just like knowing that as long as I have the disc I can still play the game x amount of years into the future without having to download stuff from a long since deactivated server. A 'peace of mind' thing I guess.

The costumes look pretty nice but the Hero pack is the bulk of it. You get so much content with it!

So far I am having the most fun with Super Mario 3D World....though I haven't tried Splatoon, Wonderful 101, or Bayonetta 2 yet :P

If you are in the States and next to a Target, you may be interested to know about a buy-two-get-one-free for Wii U games starting this Sunday. You can call a Target to make sure and confirm you're looking at saving on a 'full price' game.

I would also take advantage of the Wii U backwards compatibility, if you missed out on Wii games. Sometimes, physical copies may even be cheaper than the eShop releases. For instance, I can easily obtain Kirby's Epic Yarn, that classic Wii platformer, in good condition for a mere $5.

I pretty much have all the Wii U games I ever wanted now, but thanks for the heads-up on the Target sale. I might get a few extra anyway, depending on what they have.

Picked up Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and Zelda: Wind Waker HD today!
