Hey guys I have a brand new Switch lite, never any issues with any other games, but lately when playing new horizons sometimes not every time, when I press the inventory button or the phone open button nothing happens and I have to press it again for them to open. This usually happens again after I have been playing for a while. Is this a bug? It didn’t happen before. Ty!

I think maybe something is wrong with your buttons not the game itself. Could try to clean it using ‘pressurized air’ idk what it’s called lol

It happens to me, too! I also have a Switch Lite. As far as I know, there's no issue with the buttons themselves. If there was, I'd have this problem with other games I would think, but I don't.

yeah exactly it does not happen in other games, just AC

Sounds like it might be an issue with the lites at least, then!

I mean, it's not a huge deal, since it's not like that button press is life or death or anything- but I've definitely noticed it. But only in ACNH.

Chiming in to say that this happens to me as well - especially on the left side of the Switch inputs (phone, navigation, etc). I have a regular Switch, not the lite.

Yep it happens with the inventory button but also the phone left trigger. I’d play a while and press to open the phone and nothing happens then I press it again and the phone opens, seems like a recent bug because this didn’t happen when the game came out. I wonder how ppl notify Nintendo of bugs so they can fix it?

I have had this happen to me as well!

I think a possible explanation is that this game buffers inputs (sounds like Smash) essentially what that means is if you’re pressing multiple buttons/moving joy sticks at the same time, then the game will choose the first input you made. Because of that you might not open the phone when you press the left trigger.

Of course it could be a bug too but I hope that helps lol

Huh... that could well be it! It usually happens on the buttons on the right side, and I think it tends to happen when I'm also using the joy sticks at the same time, so that would make sense!
