Bunny day 2021?

I'm really intrigued to know what the new items will be.

Has anyone tried to TT forward to see if you can play the old Bunny day event in 2021? Or do you have to travel back to 2020? I reset my island and I'd like to get some BD items but I'd rather travel a few weeks forward than a whole year backwards. Same with the sakura items, can you get them by TTing to April 2021?

You have to TT back to 2020 for the BD items, since holiday content is update-only, but non-holiday seasonal content, like the cherry blossom items, is in the base game, and can already be accessed for this and future years.

Currently Bunny Day is exclusive to 2020. This update should enable it for 2021. I'm not sure about the years following though. I assume at some point they'll want to permanently unlock the events for years to come so they're available when the game reaches end of development.
